The girls have been begging to go camping, and since life is kinda busy sometimes we decided to just sleep in a tent in the back yard. We tried to make it a little more comfortable though as you can see from our pictures. We watched a movie, ate popcorn, and slept on actual matresses. The girls loved it. Even with all this luxury I still didn't sleep longer than 20 minutes because of the rain and wind. The bad weather actually turned out to be a good thing though because Kaitlin had croup, but we didn't know that at the time. She didn't cough that entire night because of the cold moist air, but once we went back inside she could hardly breath.

10 years and counting

Steve and I have now been married 10 years! It doesn't seem that long, but a lot has sure changed since then. Basically it means that we are just getting older, and compared to our wedding pictures we sure look it. Steve has gray in his goatee now (we blame the girls for that); and nobody seems to think I'm 15 anymore. They don't even ask if I'm old enough to go to the temple now. (this actually happened a couple times) Even though so much has changed, I would say it has only gotten better.

Lake Powell
We went to Lake Powell with some family and friends and had so much fun. It rained a little bit, but that didn't stop us from enjoying our vacation. The girls even went swimming. Cadence was sure that Steve had forgotten about her while we were trying to get back on the boat because he had to move away from some rocks. She kept saying "daddy don't forget about me!"

Naughty Elmo!
I found Elmo in time-out the other day so I asked who put him there and Kaitlin said she did. I asked her what he did and she said he hit her. Next thing I know Kaitlin is sitting on the couch with Elmo on the table in front of her and she is asking him what he did wrong, and telling him to say sorry. I thought it was so funny because that is exactly what I do with her. Elmo seems to be a bit more obedient about the whole process though. Oh and a whole lot quieter. He doesn't even cry. :)

Dental Distress
The girls went to their first dentist appointment, but it didn't go quite as planned. They were willing to sit in the seat until the doctor came, then they wanted nothing to do with it. I had to lay in the seat with them on top of me, and still the dentist didn't even really get to look in their mouth. If he saw anything it was because they were crying. I did convince them to get in the chair again for pictures, but even that was difficult.

We Miss the Beach
We took an amazing vacation to an Island called Turks and Caicos, and had so much fun that we never wanted to leave. Kaitlin even cried as we were leaving because she wanted to stay at the beach. It was so nice to just relax, play, and eat. The girls loved the Sesame Street theme and characters, except Cadence was scared to death of Cookie Monster and Grover. I was scared to death of wave running on the ocean. The boys got in lots of dive time, and some fun pictures to go with it. Here are some pictures of our adventures.
