Pictures of our Adventures

Halloween

This is the girls getting ready to go trick-or-treating in the neighborhood. We made it up and down both streets. I was impressed that the girls walked the whole way. I think they spilled candy out of their princess crown buckets as they walked because they chose a lot of suckers, but they only had a couple each by the time they got home.

This is at the Wright Halloween party. I couldn't get Steve to dress up, so someone loaned him a hat for the picture.

Trick-or-Treating at California Adventure after the make-overs. They were having so much fun and getting so much attention that they didn't want the night to end. Cadence told me it was like a dream come true, and they both cried when I had to take off their dresses that night.

Disneyland

We took a trip to Disneyland right before Halloween and had lots of fun. We even ran into my cousins husband and daughter. They were there celebrating Avalon's birthday. It seems like we always run into someone we know there. Like my cousin Alex said "It's a Small World After All" (Thanks for the picture Alex, I copied it off your blog)

So many princesses so little time....

The parks were all decked out for Halloween. It was pretty cute.

Pumpkin Patch

We got the whole fam damily together to go to the pumpkin patch. It was fun to have all the grandkids together for pictures. Our family is growing so fast this year.

The girls love picking out their pumpkins, but I think they like playing in the decorations and getting their pictures taken too.

"D" is for dresses

The girls are learning the letter sounds at home, so for the letter "D" i decided to play dress up with the girls. Since they love "princesses" at weddings I decided to get out my wedding dress for them. They were so cute, they "oohed", and "aawed" for me, and of course they had to play dress up too! This was also the day that they figured out that Daddy was also my husband. I guess seeing me in the wedding dress helped it all come together in their minds.
Cadence didn't want to stay in her Cinderella dress, but she still wanted to try on my vail, and doesn't she look beautiful?

I think Bear had the most fun with dress up day. She was so intrigued by my vail, and wanted to play with it all day. We eventually got her one at a toy store and it is one of her favorite toys. At the toy store she originally picked out a pink vail, but we had to go back and exchange it because she wanted a white one like mamma's.

Bryce Canyon

We spent one day at Bryce Canyon while we were down south. I hadn't been To Bryce in a very long time, and Steve had never been. It is such an amazing place. The canyons are so beautiful and interesting. We took the girls on the Navajo Trail hike. The trail went down pretty steep, then flattened out for a litle bit then you had to climb back up. Kaitling walked the whole way, except for 5 minutes that Steve carried her. We were so proud of her because it was a 1.2 mile hike. We did have to stop for a snack at this tree which had a nice little place for them to sit. They are such troopers!
This is me carrying Cadence on the Navajo Trail. She did pretty good, but I carried her most of the way up, which I didn't mind because it was a good workout.
Me and Kaitlin hiking to one of the view points.

The girls overlooking Sunset Point.

Not sure which overlook this was, but someone offered to take our picture, so we took them up on the offer.

Zions

Steve went on a really difficult hike one day, so I took the girls on the Riverwalk hike. It was 2 miles, and they walked the whole way. I was so proud of them!
This is the girls playing at Dixie Rock in St. George. We have little hikers and climbers on our hands!
This is Weeping Rock at Zion's. The girls thought the rock cried. Kaitlin liked it so much that she wanted to do it again, but we didn't get time.
This was our very first hike to the Emerald pools. The girls did really well, but we did have to carry them some of the way back.
This was also on the Emerald pools hike. The girls like to explore and touch everything along the way, and the love to climb.

Lake Powell #2

We went to Lake Powell again with our friends the Watson's, and had lots of fun in the sun, just relaxing and playing. You can't pass up a trip to Lake Powell.
This is Loni swimming with Kaitlin while Cadence and Tessa watch. My girls love Loni so much!
Me, Steve and the girls swimming. The water was nice and warm.
Kaitlin napping on the boat. We wore the kids out. Most days we left in morning with a packed lunch and found a quiet cove to eat in so we didn't have to go back until dinner time.
Here's Cadence taking her nap.

Me and Steve with Kaitlin, Devin, Tessa & Cadence. It was so nice for the kids to have friends to play with, and they got along great!

Camping Cunningham Style

The girls have been begging to go camping, and since life is kinda busy sometimes we decided to just sleep in a tent in the back yard. We tried to make it a little more comfortable though as you can see from our pictures. We watched a movie, ate popcorn, and slept on actual matresses. The girls loved it. Even with all this luxury I still didn't sleep longer than 20 minutes because of the rain and wind. The bad weather actually turned out to be a good thing though because Kaitlin had croup, but we didn't know that at the time. She didn't cough that entire night because of the cold moist air, but once we went back inside she could hardly breath.
